Privacy Policy
# 1.0Overview
Moarpixels is an image enlargement app for iOS. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what data Moarpixels collects, how it is used, and your choices.
# 2.0Data Collection
Moarpixels does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers. Images you process and any app settings are stored locally on your device.
2.1What stays on your device
- Images you import into Moarpixels (held only as long as needed to enlarge and save them)
- App settings and preferences
- Purchase status
2.2Apple services
Moarpixels uses the following Apple-provided services:
- In-App Purchases (StoreKit): Purchase transactions are processed entirely by Apple. Moarpixels receives only a confirmation of purchase status. We do not have access to your payment information.
- Crash Reports (App Store Connect): If you have opted in to share analytics with app developers through your iOS Settings, Apple may share anonymized, aggregated crash data with us. This data contains no personally identifiable information. You can control this in Settings > Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements > Share with App Developers.
- Photo picking (PHPicker / Limited Library): When you pick an image, Moarpixels receives only the photos you explicitly select through iOS's system picker. Moarpixels does not have broad access to your photo library — it never browses, indexes, or reads anything you didn't hand to it. The photos you do share with the app stay on your device.
- Saving back to Photos (PhotosKit, add-only): When you choose to save an enlarged image, iOS prompts you for add-only permission so Moarpixels can write the result back to your library. The app cannot read your library through this permission — it can only add new images you save from within the app.
- Clipboard (UIPasteboard): When you tap Paste, Moarpixels reads the image currently on your clipboard. We do not access your clipboard at any other time, and iOS displays its standard notification banner when an app reads clipboard contents.
- Core ML (on-device inference): The image enlargement model is executed locally on your device through Apple's Core ML framework. No image data is sent to any server during processing.
2.3Image processing
All image enlargement happens entirely on your device:
- The enlargement model runs locally through Apple's Core ML framework, executed on your device's Neural Engine, GPU, and/or CPU as iOS determines.
- Supporting frameworks used during processing (PhotosKit, ImageIO, vImage) are all Apple-provided and run entirely on-device.
- Your image is never uploaded, queued, or sent to any server for inference.
- Intermediate and output images are written to the app's local sandbox until you save them to your library or delete them.
2.4Data we do NOT collect
- No analytics or usage tracking
- No advertising identifiers
- No location data
- No contacts or calendar access
- No microphone or camera access
- No network requests to third-party services
- No accounts or sign-ins
# 3.0Data Sharing
Moarpixels does not share any data with third parties. We have no servers, no databases, and no data pipelines.
# 4.0Data Storage and Security
Imported and enlarged images are stored in the app's local sandbox on your device. Any image you explicitly save is written to your photo library via PhotosKit and is never transmitted externally.
# 5.0Data Deletion
You can remove any image from within the app at any time. Uninstalling Moarpixels removes all associated data from your device. Images you saved to your photo library remain there until you delete them yourself.
# 6.0Children's Privacy
Moarpixels does not knowingly collect any data from children under 13. Since the app collects no personal data from any user, there is no children's data to protect.
# 7.0Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
